Captain / Athanasios Vourvopoulos 
Nationality: Greek 
Captain Thanos was born on July 13, 1978. He is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Captain’s First-Class Diploma. He also holds certificates in SSO (Ship security officer), GMDSS, Arpa, Radar, Ecdis, Brm, Firefighting, and First Aid/Medical care on board. Captain Thanos has over 15 years of experience in the yachting industry, including many years as captain on high-specification motor commercial yachts.With excellent knowledge of the Aegean, Ionian, and Mediterranean waters, he can be relied on to recommend the right place for the right occasion, from cosmopolitan full-service beach clubs on popular islands to secluded sandy beaches off the beaten track. His hobbies include sailing, basketball, fishing, and martial arts. Captain Thanos speaks English, is married, and has two children

Chief Officer / Panagiotis Gritsopoulos
Nationality: Greek 
Panagiotis is a motivated and dedicated Chief Officer with strong experience in both the cruise and hospitality industries. Having progressed steadily through the ranks with Norwegian Cruise Lines, he brings solid operational knowledge, excellent organisational skills, and a calm, team-oriented approach on board. He began his maritime career as a Deck Cadet aboard LNG vessels before joining the cruise industry, where he served as 3rd Officer, 2nd Officer, and later 1st Officer Safety. His experience has provided him with extensive knowledge in navigation, safety procedures, crew coordination, and guest operations within high-standard service environments. Panagiotis is known for his professionalism, punctuality, and positive attitude. Passionate about the sea and continuous development, he combines strong leadership skills with a hands-on approach, always ensuring smooth operations and a safe, enjoyable experience for both guests and crew. In his free time, he enjoys CrossFit, playing the guitar, home design, and travelling, always appreciating opportunities to stay active, creative, and explore new places and cultures.

Chief Engineer / Lampros Georgousis 
Nationality: Greek
Lampros is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Class A Engineering Diploma. He began his career onboard commercial and cruise ships, gaining extensive experience over many years before transitioning into the luxury yachting industry. He holds certificates in SSO, lifesaving, and firefighting, including V1-2 and V3. He has been part of Alexandra for several years, progressing from Second Engineer to Chief Engineer through dedication and experience. As Chief Engineer, Lampros is responsible for the service and maintenance of the yacht, overseeing the main engines, generators, and all mechanical and electrical systems to ensure smooth and safe operation. He is married with two children, speaks English and Greek, and in his free time enjoys travelling and sports.

2nd Engineer / Nektarios Pallis 
Nationality: Greek 
Nektarios is a graduate of the Merchant Marine Academy and holds a Class B Engineering Diploma. He began his career onboard commercial ships and cruise ships, gaining extensive experience before transitioning into the luxury yachting industry. He also holds certificates in Ro/Ro & Passenger Ship Safety, Lifesaving, and Firefighting. He has been part of Alexandra for several years, contributing to the engineering department and supporting the safe and efficient operation of all onboard systems.

He is married with three children and speaks English and Greek. In his free time, he enjoys travelling, going to the cinema, and sports.

Chef / Konstantinos Baroutis 
Nationality: Greek 

Konstantinos brings over a decade of experience in high-end gastronomy, both on land and now at sea aboard M/Y Alexandra. A graduate of IEK Le Monde’s Culinary Arts program, he has honed his craft in some of Greece’s most acclaimed kitchens, including Varoulko with Lefteris Lazarou, CTC with Alexandros Tsiotinis, and Funky Gourmet with Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos. He also brings international experience from his time as Head Chef at Le Lyrique in Lausanne, Switzerland. Known for his creativity, discipline, and deep love for Greek and Mediterranean cuisine, Konstantinos combines fine-dining technique with fresh, seasonal ingredients to create thoughtful, elegant menus tailored to every guest’s preferences. His calm presence, attention to detail, and passion for hospitality make him an invaluable part of the Alexandra crew.

Chief Stewardess / Maria Papalrexi 
Nationality: Greek 

Maria was born in 1976. Prior to joining the luxury yachting industry, she worked as a supervisor and manager in various retail stores, as well as in the hospitality sector across bars, cafés, and restaurants, where she developed strong customer service skills. She joined Alexandra several years ago and, through hard work, dedication, and continuous professional development, progressed from housekeeping/laundry to the position of Chief Stewardess. Maria is a strong and valued member of the team and is always willing to take on additional responsibilities, including assisting in the galley when required. She speaks English and Greek. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, climbing, and stand-up paddle boarding, and also works as a freelance beautician, having completed various professional seminars.

Her previous yachts include: M/Y Rini V.

2nd Stewardess / Anna Arvaniti
Nationality: Greek 

2nd Stew Anna holds a degree in Interior Architecture and Graphic Design from the Vakalo Art & Design College. A highly organized individual, she offers excellent service to all guests onboard Alexandra, ensuring that everyone has an enjoyable and comfortable time. Having worked for many years in the Hospitality Industry, she is very experienced, delivering only the highest standards. 

3rd Stewardess / Vasiliki 'Vaso' Arvaniti
Nationality : Greek 

Vaso is a warm, professional, and highly service-oriented Stewardess with a strong background in hospitality, customer relations, and team coordination. Having worked in both the service and corporate sectors, she brings excellent communication skills, organisation, and attention to detail to life on board. Her experience includes guest service roles within restaurants, office administration, and over a decade in management positions with Vodafone, where she developed strong leadership, problem-solving, and client care abilities. She recently joined the yachting industry aboard M/Y Koukles, where she further strengthened her passion for delivering high standards of hospitality and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Vaso is known for her positive attitude, professionalism, discretion, and ability to remain calm under pressure. She is a dedicated team player who always strives to ensure guests enjoy a seamless and memorable experience on board. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, fitness, swimming, and spending time by the sea. 

4th Stewardess / Nekataria Doudoni
Nationality : Greek

Nektaria is a friendly and enthusiastic Stewardess with a positive attitude and a genuine passion for hospitality and guest care. Although new to the yachting industry, she brings valuable experience from customer service environments, where she developed strong communication skills, adaptability, and attention to detail. Eager to learn and grow within the industry, Nektaria is hardworking, organised, and always willing to assist wherever needed to ensure guests enjoy a comfortable and memorable experience on board. Her calm and approachable nature, combined with her strong work ethic, make her a great addition to the interior team aboard M/Y Alexandra. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, spending time by the sea, fitness, and discovering new cultures and experiences.

Bosun / Antonios Simitsopoulos 
Nationality: Greek 

Antonios brings over a decade of hands-on experience in the yachting industry, with a solid track record on both private and charter yachts. He currently serves as Bosun on M/Y Alexandra, where he is known for his strong work ethic, technical knowledge, and positive, can-do attitude. He has been part of M/Y Alexandra for several years, working within the deck team and contributing to the smooth operation, maintenance, and presentation of the yacht. His previous experience includes serving as Able Seaman on M/Y Varmar (55m), as well as deckhand on the 116m M/Y Radiant, where he was also involved in a major refit project at Lürssen Shipyard in Hamburg. He holds a wide range of maritime certifications, including STCW, RYA Powerboat Level 2, Skipper Licence, Bosun Licence, and SSO A+B. With a background in mechanical engineering studies and previous shore-based technical roles, Antonios combines practical skills with a detail-oriented approach. Outside of work, he enjoys football, reading, swimming, and travel.

Deckhand / Dimitris Spanos
Nationality: Greek 

Dimitrios Spanos was born on 06 November 1998. He is a Greek national with a strong background in maritime operations, security, and team-based roles across both shore and sea environments. He holds a Speed Boat Operator licence, Driving Licences A and B, and is STCW Basic Safety certified with a valid Seaman’s Book, as well as an Assistant Electrical Degree (Class A IEPYA). He began his career in security and supervisory positions before transitioning into the yachting industry, gaining hands-on experience onboard M/Y Phalarope alongside various operational and maritime-related roles that developed his discipline, awareness, and adaptability at sea. Dimitrios has completed his military service in the Greek Special Forces and also holds a 1st Dan Black Belt in Ju Jitsu, with additional experience as a coach and assistant coach in martial arts and youth sports programmes. He speaks Greek and English at B2 level and is a confident swimmer with strong practical seamanship skills.

Deckhand / Stefanos Zourdos 
Nationality: Greek 

Deckhand Stefanos joined the yachting industry in 2024, with all the necessary training. He is a hardworking person, with a positive attitude, and is always happy to help in all departments with various tasks. He speaks English and Greek.
